AL TAYLOR PRINTS. CATALOGUE RAISONNÉ

AL TAYLOR (1948-1999)

The present publication is the catalogue raisonné of Al Taylor’s graphic works and introduces a previously nearly unknown aspect of his oeuvre to the public for the first time. Aside from the published prints, the catalogue also includes all the trial proofs and variations, which sometimes substantially differ from the final versions. Taylor’s graphic works combine the age-old medium with new creative ideas, the experimental spirit of which makes them among the most inventive works produced by this generation.

Thanks to a series of important exhibitions, the American artist, who understood himself not as a sculptor but more as a painter and draughtsman, has received the attention of a growing audience since the early nineties.
