Lucas Cranach: The Other Renaissance provides a new critical approach to the works of German Renaissance painter Lucas Cranach The Elder, and compares his work with that of Italian Renaissance artists such as Bartolomeo Veneto, Francesco Francia, Perugino, Lorenzo Lotto, and Titian. This book provides a new critical approach of his works, thanks to the contributions of Berthold Hinz, Karin Kolb, Andrew Martin, Martin Warnke and Heiner Borggrefe. Text in English & Italian.

Anna Coliva, art historian, has worked at the Superintendence of Parma, then in Rome. Since 1991 she has been the Director and Co-ordinator at Galleria Borghese. The author of many books and essays, she holds conferences in Italy and abroad. Bernard Aikema works as Professor of Modern art at the University of Nijmegen (Holland) and Leuven (Belgium), and as a Professor at Princeton and Harvard. His research concentrates on Venetian art and the European influence of the Renaissance. He is the author of many books and essays and is a curator of international exhibitions in Europe and in the USA.
