Olafur Eliasson - Your only real thing is time

A floor is built halfway between floor and ceiling of a room. The artificial floor is completely covered with water. A stairway that leads up from the building floor below allows the viewer to picture how the pool of water is constructed. Several circular neon lamps are arranged concentrically below the ceiling over the water. They flash rhythmically, creating reflections on the water.

This catalogue was printed for the exhibition Your only real thing is time, held at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, January 24 – April 1, 2001
