WALTER MORODER

WALTER MORODER ( 1963- )

Slender, mainly female figures are predominant in Walter Moroder's sculptural work. Despite all their modernity, his sculptures are rooted in the craft tradition of Southern Tyrolean woodcarving. Yet, at the same time, they are reminiscent of the language of forms found in the art of ancient Egypt. Walter Moroder comes from a family of sculptors and was born in the very traditional Grödental region of Southern Tyrol. This book brings together all of his figural works of the last ten years in an impressive manner.
