ALISON WILDING (1948-)

A retrospective look at Alison Wilding’s sculptures, with a special focus on the recent works Vanish and Detail and Tracking.

This beautifully illustrated catalogue shows the subtle surfaces, shift in scale and weight of works such as Migrant (2003), set in a tidal ditch flanked by reed beds at Snape in Suffolk, and In Shadow (1998), made for the chapel of St John the Evangelist at Skipton Castle in Yorkshire.

This catalogue also contains essays by poet and curator Rod Mengham, artist Sam Porrit and critic Judy Collins.
