The Paintings of Bob Kane - People and Places

Bob Kane (1937 - 2013)

Bob Paul Kane's work is a beautiful synthesis of Matisse's colorful palette with a decidedly American sensibility. He was deeply influenced by the work of sculptor Chaim Gross, who urged him to enroll at the Art Students League in New York City. There he met expressionist artist George Grosz and American artist and teacher Will Barnet and developed his gestural abstract style. A chronicle of the artist's distinguished career is written by noted art critic Richard Boyle.

This is the first monograph dedicated to the artwork of contemporary artist Bob Paul Kane. Bob has a distinguished roster of celebrity collectors, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Mary Tyler Moore, Al Pacino, and many others.
