SPUR IM EXIL

The artists' group SPUR was formed in 1957 and published 7 issues of their periodical. This is the only issue in colour. Disagreements over the content of this issue led to one of the longest lawsuits in the history of German publication law. Full page coloured litographs by H. P. Zimmer and Helmuth Sturm

Issue no. 6 by Gruppe SPUR. Featuring artwork, essays, concrete poetry, poetry, and comics related to Situationist Bauhaus, the Second Situationist International, and Drakabygget, and their ongoing controversies having been accused of blasphemy, anti-religious endeavors, attempts to seduce the youth, violation of the constitution, attempts to start a revolution, crimes against the ‘Presse-Schutzgesetz’ (the German Press Protection Act), and distribution of obscene material to name a few. Editorial committee for this issue included Helmut Sturm, Heimrad Prem, Hans-Peter Zimmer, Dieter Kunzelmann, and Katja and Jørgen Nash.
